A spectacular view from a grass bank on the shore of Jokulsarlon , a Glacier Lagoon, Iceland. Who'd think a big lump of ice could create something in the long term so spectacular?

Strategy

Strategy / noun / long-term plan or policy.

Strategy is an overused word and an old client of mine used to enjoy interrupting suppliers’ sales presentations by asking “What do you mean by strategy?”.

To me, strategy is about setting a direction for an organisation that is narrow enough to focus on and broad enough to live through the market changes that will undoubtedly occur on the route to success. A strategy creates a common vision and a business plan to move the organisation closer to the vision.

Through a proven process, I can guide the board and senior management team to reach a point where there is a shared vision and a passion to deliver against an agreed business plan.

Working through the organisation, I can support the management team to implement the strategy at an operational level, helping everyone in the organisation to work towards the same goals and objectives.
